Product Features

MyMISlab is an online tool that brings hands-on commercial software application relevance to both your classroom and homework assignments. Each of Pearson’s leading introductory MIS titles has a MyMISLab associated with the textbook. Check out our new features below.

Branching, Decision-Making Simulations
(Using MIS, Experiencing MIS, and MIS Essentials only)

Our branching, decision-making simulations allow you to assess your students’ critical thinking skills. Students are placed in realistic business situations related to the chapter opening cases in the book and are asked to make a series of decisions, based on information they are given. The simulations are branching, so each decision the student makes determines the direction the scenario goes, allowing students to see the consequences of their decisions. These simulations are graded and students receive detailed feedback about each decision they made, and why it was a good or bad decision.

Experiential Simulations
(Wallace, Information Systems in Organizations only)

Students experience a variety of business situations using familiar interfaces like computers and Smartphones, and make a series of decisions around a business problem. Students receive a report and grade based on their performance. There are also accompanying discussion questions that can be assigned to allow students to reflect on their experience.

Our Assisted-Graded writing assignments cut down grading time by streamlining the grading process. The Writing Space allows students to submit assignments through MyMISLab; it allows you easy grading with prebuilt rubrics; and allows you to make inline comments and correction that can be returned to the students all through MyMISLab. All of the Assisted-Graded writing assignments are taken from the cases in the books.
